Depending on different application requirements, Sodium cyclamate is mainly available in two specifications: NF13 and CP95. NF13 complies with the US Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) standards and is suitable for export and food systems with high purity requirements; while CP95 complies with the Chinese Pharmacopoeia standards.
Sodium Calamate NF13, while providing a stable sweetness, can be further subdivided into different mesh sizes to suit various mixing and dissolving needs. Specifically:
40-60 mesh: Relatively coarse particles with good flowability, suitable for dry-mixed powder products or systems requiring slow-release sweetness.
60-80 mesh: Medium particle size, with a relatively balanced dissolution rate and dispersibility, a commonly used specification in most common food production.
80-100 mesh: Fine particles dissolve quickly, suitable for beverages and liquid products requiring rapid dissolution or a smooth texture.
When selecting cyclamate, it is recommended that you consider the intended use, target market regulations, and processing technology. For example, when used in solid beverage powders, 40-60 mesh cyclamate can be chosen to maintain good anti-caking properties; for liquid beverages, 80-100 mesh cyclamate dissolves more .
