    Product Description

    Feed-grade calcium propionate is an organic acid salt feed additive produced by reacting propionic acid and calcium carbonate. It primarily functions as a mold inhibitor and preservative in animal feed, as well as a calcium supplement, and we also widely use calcium propionate in the processing and storage of pig, poultry, and aquatic feeds.

    In terms of mold prevention and preservation, the core mechanism of feed-grade calcium propionate is the release of free propionic acid, which penetrates the cell membranes of microorganisms and interferes with their metabolic enzyme activity, thereby inhibiting the growth and reproduction of molds, aerobic Bacillus, and various putrefactive bacteria. In hot and humid seasons or with high-moisture feeds (12%-15% moisture content), so adding feed-grade calcium propionate (recommended dosage 0.1%-0.5%) can significantly extend the safe storage period of the feed and reduce nutritional losses and animal health risks caused by mold growth.
